Louisa and I have had conversations about her post that went viral and caused a troll storm and I got her to appreciate a few things - one of them being that there’s one thing about what you say and there’s another about how people interpret it.

While you may feel free to say what you wish, you cannot necessarily control how people understand it.

There’s also how people would choose to spin it to suit their own narrative.

She however explains, that she never meant to body shame anyone.

Unfortunately, we can all agree that you can’t control how people choose to interpret a post.

Louisa further clarifies, that she never sought to infer that Lily Mohammed had bleached or done BBL because she does not know her.

If Lily felt offended, sorry, but that was definitely not the intention.

I’ve also read posts and comments about my marriage. To those people, I’d say focus on your marriage if you have one or when you enter one.

There are also those who say Louisa is ugly. Really? This woman right here at 52 years after giving birth to three children, is ugly? Create a human let’s see how you fare.

Finally to the “friends” who joined the troll or fueled it, what real friends will do would be to reach out privately to obtain some context or seek to correct if necessary.

I’ve never trolled or joined trolling of a friend and would never do that. But hey, we’re all brought up differently, which is why we will always have differences in opinions.

HbA1c becomes inaccurate whenever RBC lifespan is shortened or altered, because HbA1c reflects average glucose over 3 months based on glycation of hemoglobin.
If RBCs don’t live a normal 120 days → the result is misleading.
🔥 HbA1c is inaccurate in these conditions:

1) Increased RBC turnover → falsely LOW HbA1c
Hemolytic anemia

Acute or chronic blood loss

Sickle cell disease

Thalassemia major

G6PD deficiency

Hypersplenism

After transfusion

2) Decreased RBC turnover → falsely HIGH HbA1c

Iron deficiency anemia

Vitamin B12 or folate deficiency

Asplenia

3) Hemoglobin variants

HbS, HbC, HbE, thalassemia → depending on assay, may give false values or unreadable results.

4) Conditions affecting glycation

Severe renal failure (carbamylated Hb)

Liver cirrhosis

Alcoholism

Chronic opioid use

High-dose salicylates

⭐ When HbA1c is unreliable, use:

Fructosamine (reflects 2–3 weeks)

Continuous glucose monitoring

Self-monitoring blood glucose

A parent's proud moment! 🙏

We sent our son, Cheyne, to the US alone several months before he would start college to learn independence. While staying with his auntie, he got a job, learned punctuality, and managed his time.

But the proudest moment was when he returned. With his first earnings, he didn't come empty-handed—but bought gifts for the whole family. He got me the shirt in the photo plus two others (not my usual style, but now my favorite! 😄).

This gesture, his "first fruit," means more than the gift itself. It’s a symbol of his love, responsibility, and the wonderful man he is becoming. God bless you, Afotey.

And to the rest of you, may your children do it for you too.
