Some days i wake up sort of regretting not going to do my masters last year after getting admission mostly cause it didn't seem like the right time or plan at the moment. But then the day continues and i know i made the right decision, i will do it when the time is right.

AI will eventually automate a lot of roles, but we are not fully there yet and not every layoff or sacking will be because of AI, it will just be the perfect fall guy.

So, i saw the tweet about Block Inc laying off 4,000 employees and their reason, is because with ai they can now automate things. This is rather far from the truth when you look at their market cap, as well as their employee size before the layoffs happened.

There is just always a patsy for why the layoff is happening. AI is just the latest excuse, and the truth is that there will be a lot more layoffs to come and we will keep hearing it is because of AI.
