@20buckspinlabel We did a 19:00, 5 song 12” for Intensive Care.
If @wolfagram told me it was their full length, then I would agree. Artists call. But it was described as an EP (which was my preference as well, incidentally.)
Bottom line: The artist gets to classify their own work as they see fit.

@20buckspinlabel Couple of things, but for me it generally comes down to 1, then 2.
For Swans, Warning, or Pallbearer, a 4 track LP makes sense. The songs are likely long enough to put that at 30-40+ min.
Dropdead or Disrupt could drop a 10 song EP that fits comfortably on a 7”.
LP: 20+ min.

@20buckspinlabel ... if a band puts out an 6-10 track release that’s more than 12 minutes or so, and they call it an LP or album, then I’m with that. Congrats on your new full length.
If it WOULD reasonably fit onto a 7” though - I’m inclined to call that an EP.

Currently sitting in a parking lot doing the math over whether the decreased exposure if I don’t pop into these two storefronts is > or < the anxiety I have over walking into a coffee shop and comic store and interact with the staff (whom I know!) without buying a drink or comic.

Anyone else that books events - do you ever get real anxious about stopping into places that you’ve frequented and fliered before and sit outside of them trying to slow down your panicking brain so you can work up the courage to literally walk in, say Hi, and drop off a poster?

I’ve found that extreme stress helps me focus... and basically nothing else.
