⠀⠀⠀⠀A mushroom walks into the bar and sits at the bar top, the bartender already looks annoyed by it. Claiming that they don't serve mushrooms.

So the mushroom asks, "why not? I'm a fungi."

I know Casey very well. And I think him and this person would be an amazing match!

Casey is a big softy. He just looks scary.

"Will Wake ever publish another book?

Maybe I shouldn't ask."

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

seen a building like this before. Have you?"

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

"Then we're lost together, it seems. But as I always like to say: I've only been lost once in my life. And this ain't number two."

Casey gives her a friendly pat on her shoulder.

"Come on, let's start logical. Where did you come through? I mean, that same door must lead us (+)

[мιѕѕ ℓιη @ATA_GLANCE]

Lin shivers. Detective Casey doesn't even know where they are. That makes her feel even more disconcerted. Still, she absently moves closer to him, the only familiarity in an otherwise strange circumstance.

"I'm okay, just really lost..."

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

still playing, like the song of a siren beckoning them. But for now he doesn't want to go that way. First, the door. If that doesn't work, then it's highly probable strange music at a strange place time.

.....Coffee?
(Oh wait. He hates coffee...)

So, uh, a coke maybe?

No?? Then it's about time. He knows the best coffee joints. How about it? One coffee's on the agent.

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

Same here. That's why Casey enjoys drinking hot coffee all day even more during winter.

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

After checking he can open his door without causing an accident in this crazy traffic, he does so and swiftly gets inside. Half of his coffee is drunk even before he puts the seat belt on.

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

There's a little smirk on his face actually as he goes around to get to the driver seat.
"Tsk. Funny. Want me to go inside and say hello in my FBI jacket, too? That's stuff for a great, relaxing morning neither of us would forget. Get in."
(+)

[мιѕѕ ℓιη @ATA_GLANCE]

She's surprised at the offer. "Oh, I might appreciate that, Detective."

Lin softly smiles and follows him. When she sees the nondescript car she has to remind herself that he's not going to be driving the FBI car off duty. It would be very funny though. +

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

Doesn't look like the traffic's getting any better anytime soon."

With his coffee to-go in hand he walks to his dark blue rather old car to await her answer. It looks like 80% of the cars around here. Big, rather large, big hood. But it's doing its job, alright?

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

Seeing her struggle with that hair strand makes him think that he's glad he's got short hair. Less problems, especially in the morning.
His gaze follows hers. Seems like he'll need a few more minutes today. But then, that's New York for you. Even though he's FBI, he can't (+)

[мιѕѕ ℓιη @ATA_GLANCE]

Lin wipes a loose strand of hair away from her face. It falls back into place anyway.

just drive past all of them.

"Huh. Sounds really interesting. I'd suggest we switch meetings so I can get a free breakfast, but your Don wouldn't make any deals with me around." He jokes with his usual poker face.

"I mean I could take you part of the way, if you want. (+)

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

What are your plans this early?"

[Special Agent Casey ☕ @TheAlexCasey_]

"No offense taken. Because I haven't been in bed last night. But yeah, there's a meeting in an hour."

He adjusts his tie knot, stifling a yawn. To be frank, he's slept on the couch. And his back freaking hurts.

"But you look fresh and ready for whatever might come. (+)

[мιѕѕ ℓιη @ATA_GLANCE]

"Headed to the office?" she sips her own coffee. "Looks like you barely made it out of bed. No offense."

In contrast, Lin's in her typical glory. Very clean, smelling of roses & jasmine, makeup & hair seemingly perfected. If there's anything ugly beneath, nobody will see it.
