With shooting landscape you get a better idea of someone’s size and body shape with a slightly wider crop. But some agents can be adverse to landscape shots as it does not match with the way they market their clients.

If you are in love with bold, bright and large jewellery, it might be better to save it for a photoshoot rather than a headshot that you'll be looking to use across a wide range of media.

We suggest only getting your roots done if they're needed, and letting the colour settle for a couple of days before your shoot. Remember your headshot is meant to be a realistic representation of you!

There is such a thing as having too many or too few photos on your profile / in your portfolio 📖

A good rule is to stick with around 4 to 6 headshots when sharing these with casting directors.
