Dear ‘scientists’,
when you are fighting for your rights/causes, social science and humanities people often stand with you. Please do the same when it comes to their concerns - not to simply keep quiet or join in dismissing them. That’s the humane thing to do. We all need each other.

Taking Development Closer to Communities.
Uganda Development Bank has officially opened its Bunyoro Regional Office in Hoima City, a major step in our mission to extend inclusive, sustainable development financing across the country.
By expanding into regional hubs, UDB is bringing essential financial and advisory services closer to entrepreneurs, reducing access barriers, and unlocking investment opportunities where they matter most.
From agriculture and agro-industrialization to tourism, manufacturing, and emerging industries, our presence in Bunyoro will strengthen local enterprise growth, create jobs, and accelerate socio-economic transformation.
This milestone reaffirms our commitment as Uganda’s national development finance institution to ensure every region is empowered to thrive.

I thank the people of Oyam for the warm welcome. Oyam District was ranked 1st in Northern Uganda and 4th nationally in implementing the Parish Development Model. So far, Shs 15.26 billion has been disbursed to 15,358 beneficiary households across 74 parishes. Out of 110,658 households, 56,340 were in the subsistence economy, and PDM is transforming that. On education, Oyam now boasts 109 government and 160 private primary schools. There are 10 government and 10 private secondary schools.
If we are given the opportunity, in the new Kisanja, we shall ensure that all parishes have government primary schools and all the sub counties have government secondary schools .

A poll organized by the famous philosophy teacher and renowned cartoonist between the top two presidential candidates of Uganda ends in a tie.
Now what that means, depends on which side you are supporting. As it can be argued that "the glass is half full or half empty.
We have today unveiled our permanent home in Mbarara City, the Western Uganda regional headquarters for NUP.
We acquired this property over a year ago, and commenced construction.
This will be our command center for all the activities and offices we have in the wider western Uganda.

I addressed leaders of six political parties attending the Interparty Organization for Dialogue (IPOD) summit: the Democratic Party (DP), Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Uganda People's Congress (UPC), Justice Forum (JEEMA), People's Progressive Party (PPP), and the NRM party.
I called on political leaders to refrain from using violence and to embrace dialogue. Uganda’s progress depends on leaders diagnosing societal challenges correctly and applying peaceful solutions rather than resorting to subversion, violence, and divisive politics.
