It is sad that people are defending Senator Shehu Buba. He needs a full investigation and a trial to prove he is innocent. Even though there is evidence everywhere, some people claim he is being targeted. Just because he is a Muslim from North does not mean he is above the law.

To Nigeria’s security agencies:
A public allegation has been made against a serving senator concerning alleged links to bandit networks.
You cannot expect Nigerians to simply forget about it.
Investigate. Verify. Publish what can legally be made public. Arewa need answers.

The timing is politically explosive, especially with 2027 approaching.
That is precisely why Nigerians should demand more evidence, not less.

If the allegations against Senator Shehu Buba are politically motivated, expose that.

If they have substance, expose that too.

As Northerners, we cannot demand an end to banditry while refusing to ask difficult questions about the networks that sustain insecurity.

Hassan’s allegations against Senator Shehu Buba are yet to be proven.
But they are serious enough to deserve a professional investigation.

Forget the personalities for a moment.
A citizen has made allegations connecting a serving senator to people he claims are involved in banditry.
The question every Northerner should be asking is simple:

Where is the independent investigation?

Let the authorities investigate the claims, establish the facts and publicly clear his name.But if there is credible evidence, Nigerians deserve to know that too.
