What did Charles actually do? He praised NATO in front of its loudest critic. He championed climate action in front of a climate denier. He called for interfaith dialogue during an administration that has banned citizens from Muslim-majority countries. He praised checks and balances on executive power to a room full of lawmakers who have been unable to exercise them. He referenced the Middle East crisis that is currently straining the alliance he was there to celebrate. He defended the Royal Navy after Trump publicly insulted it. And he did all of this while receiving standing ovations, bipartisan laughter, and a dinner invitation.
Yes it's absolutely true - the human race survived hundreds of thousands of years without vaccines.
Most people didn't reach 40 and half the babies never saw their first birthdays but hey, those were the days, right?
Many things can be true at once
1. The Ayatollah was evil and bad
2. Regime change can work, but historically regime change in Iran has not
3. Trump is probably the least competent person to handle regime change (see Venezuela)
4. This was unconstitutional
I can’t help but notice that the “save women’s sports” crowd has been awfully quiet since Trump mocked the US women’s hockey team, to the apparent delight of the men’s team. It’s almost as if they don’t actually care about women’s sports at all.
The Men’s Olympic Hockey team got the head of the FBI to party with them.
Got Trump on the phone lavishing them with praise.
The Women’s Gold Medal team?
They got mocked. Disparaged. Made fun of.
He still hasn’t congratulated them.
Misogyny. Every damn time.
