[just wrote this quick, cute 2min drabble in ash’s dms and thought I’d share it (read the image first for context)]

—and then seungmin saying “what’s the final step to make appa feel better, aegi?”

“magic kiss!” their daughter exclaims with a giggle.

minho softens and grins at his daughter, bending down and sticking out his cheek where a kuromi bandaid has been placed. “gonna make appa all better, aegi?”

“yeah!!” she leans up, holding both sides of his face for stability and plants a big kiss right on the bandaid. minho gives her a small kiss on the forehead back.

“thank you, doctor. I feel much better already.”

“no,” she complains. minho and seungmin blink in surprise.

“no?” seungmin asks.

“daddy needs to kiss appa too! daddy has the best magic kisses!”minho tries not to feel a little offended that his magic kisses apparently not as good, but any hints of jealousy are wiped away by the soft look on seungmin’s face.

“come here, appa,” he grins.

“hey, I’m the injured one here, you come to me,” minho shoots back. seungmin rolls his eyes but scoots over to right in front of him.

“lips, daddy!” their daughter shouts and points aggressively at minho’s lips. seungmin raises an eyebrow.

“he hurt his lips?” their daughter nods solemnly.

“sour candy.” seungmin turns to minho with a questioning expression, but minho just shrugs. seungmin cups his face and watches his husband lean into the touch, eyes gentle and loving. it’s a sight seungmin will never get sick of.

“one magic kiss, coming right up.” he leans forward and sets a tender peck on his lips and can feel minho’s mouth quirk up into a smile. when they part, minho looks lovesick. seungmin’s heart nearly bursts out of his chest. how can it still feel like butterflies after all these years?

“now the other boo-boos,” their daughter demands.

“more?”

“all!!”

so seungmin kisses each place there’s a bandaid or bandage. minho, the cheeky bastard, would keep saying something new hurt so seungmin would have to give him more kisses.

“I bumped my elbow this morning!”

“my pinkie got closed in a door.”

“my lips are hurting again…”

eventually their daughter was satisfied that her appa was sufficiently healed and declared that doctor time was over and ran over to the table to read her favorite graphic novel.

“you’re a menace,” seungmin complained. “now *my* lips hurt.”

“I guess I’ll just have to kiss them better then. though apparently my magic kisses aren’t as good, so I might need to do a couple to match the strength of yours.” seungmin laughed and batted at his arm.

“I look forward to it, doctor kim-lee.”
