Eddie is so damn smart. Just because he was repeating senior year for the third time doesn’t mean he wasn’t smart. Learning disabilities were ignored and ridiculed in the 80s, plus poverty could play a big role. He read Tolkien and learned Master of Puppets in weeks. Genius!!
