Is there a better example of rags to riches in the form of a video game than #NoMansSky? I mean, I've never seen a game recover from a botched release as well as NMS has.
Spent the day getting ready for public UGC rollout by making a custom polo shirt for our team.
We'll also be making a similar shirt for fans in the future that will make it easy for players to quickly distinguish between official LiquidPixel Entertainment team and fans.
@Dylan_50@Simonblox Players would be able to wear any item they own.
The developers of the experience wouldn't be able to include it as a cosmetic available in the game.
@EvanZir Damn, Unity and roblox in the same week. Guess I'm putting my current project in Roblox on hold until this gets sorted. May have to find a new engine...
@TideHollow19919 @MassiveMonster@unity Context...
I don't agree with unity's decision but posting a stock graph over 5 years in reference to the current decision is ludicrous.
@TheAaronBowley@NightSkyPrince_@unity That just makes you an idiot. Even with a complete reversal, which I doubt will happen, it would only be a matter of time before unity does something again to screw its users.
@SimplyRemove Actually achieving these session times is fairly easy if you implement a mechanic like pet hatching. People will use auto clickers to hatch pets over night or while they are at work. I once left an auto clicker hatching on a game for over 48 hours.
@devsirozen@MrChickenRocket from back when developers had to moderate their own games. I bet Roblox would like people to forget about that. And I'm sure most people have.
@devsirozen@MrChickenRocket I think the reality is, game development in Roblox is harder in so many ways than Unity. And this is coming from someone who uses both. Unity has so many tools that can automate most of the processes for you. In Roblox, you do at least 90% of the work yourself.
@devsirozen@MrChickenRocket At times, it seemed like Roblox would go out of their way to screw over a popular developer, at one point banning a front page developer because a script they had in an old place file contained expletives. It was a moderation script from back when developers had to moderate cont.
@devsirozen@MrChickenRocket As a developer, I have a solid love hate relationship with Roblox Studio. The repetitive processes that should already be automated, I have to automate myself. For a while, it seemed like Roblox couldn't be bothered to listen to the people developing on their platform
@BurgerHarden @elonmusk That's probably a good idea, if you're investing based on emotions, your bound to lose. You should probably let a professional handle your portfolio.
