It’s warming up out there, marking the beginning of Buath Gurru, grass flowering season on Wurundjeri Country 🌞
It’s at this time of year that the Kangaroo Grass flowers, Brown Butterflies are out and about, and small bats can be seen flying in the evenings.
From colleague @holmeslybrand: The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN they were not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response.
How the fuck do we live in a world where tomorrow the USA will either vote for a woman or vote for the total demise of their country and it’s somehow a close fucking race?

@JaneyGodley Bugger. We all knew this would happen sooner than later but it is still a huge kick in the guts. So much courage so much feisty courage. Farewell Dr Godley. Sending much love to her family from down under. 🥰🥰🥰

In the years I’ve been making Stuff The British Stole, the biggest lesson for me has been how much history hides behind politeness—polite plaques, polite speeches, polite monarchs.
I don’t have Lidia Thorpe's life experience, and it’s not appropriate for me to offer commentary on her actions.
But let’s be clear on one thing: the British Empire was not a polite enterprise. Like most, it was built on conquest, power, and, yes, things were truly stolen. Many things that have not been returned or in some cases even acknowledged.
It was not a polite empire.
