Losing your first league game to Hull City says a lot about where Manchester United are right now. The performance was poor from start to finish — no intensity, no creativity, no urgency and very little fight.

Carrick should never have been given this job. He is simply not good enough for Manchester United, and the club will suffer if this decision is allowed to continue.

You can’t manage a club of United’s size based on sentiment or familiarity. The standard has to be much higher.

Today is another reminder: United looked flat, lacked ideas, struggled to create clear chances and never looked like a team capable of turning the game around after going 2–0 down.

I know people will disagree with me, but I’m saying what I genuinely believe. Manchester United cannot afford another season of learning on the job.
