I am overwhelmed by the heroism stories from Israel. Meet Inbal Liberman, a 25-year-old from Kibutz Nir-Am. She is ex-military and, a year ago, became the first woman to become the Kibutz (small community) security head.
When 1000 terrorists crossed the border from Gaza, she quickly understood what was happening, alerted the Kibutz first responders (all civilians), and correctly deployed them to all the critical points around the kibbutz based on a plan she devised and drilled.
Under her command, the civilians in the Kibbutz fought the attackers, killed 25 of them, and prevented any terrorist from penetrating the kibbutz.
She is a true leader who used skill and thoroughness to prevent a terrible outcome like we have seen all across the border.

On Jan. 1, thousands of low-level cannabis convictions in Connecticut will be automatically erased due legislation we've enacted.
Especially as employers seek to fill job openings, an old conviction for low-level possession should not hold someone back from their aspirations.
#NewYorkState awarded its first #CannabisRetail Licenses; 4 will be based in Manhattan & Queens, 3 in Bronx and 2 in Staten Island. It’s not clear when stores will open — Brooklyn will have to wait, due to pending lawsuit.
