@EinSchwarzwelt Hypothetically if Garber pushed for this, send him to Philly. Yes his home state but partner him with Cavan for a bit, move Cavan to the middle and build your project with the academy and they have a maybe GOAT for America as a mentor. But I’d rather see him in Spain.
@howertonjosh Odd way for a pastor to essentially admit he is in open rebellion against God. God is bringing you non believers to your door step and you’re telling God eww not that like that. Just admit you love the nation more than the kingdom.
@DrFrankTurek Criticism in pedagogy is fair but God has many called many into the mission field of teaching. Many are doing so subtly, without notice. When you make vague post like this without any nuance, you undermine Gods mission field. Careful to not undermine where God is working.
@No_ProRelForMLS Yes, as much is pretty significant. You’ll have 10-12 teams fighting for spots in Europe, you’ll have 6-8 teams fighting from relegation. And finishing mid table could be a major predictor into future relegation battles or the wake up call to push higher.
@No_ProRelForMLS@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 Never said they don’t matter. The grind when it comes to travel yes, and arguably playing in the summer as well but grind is much more. No way to prove it but the body doesn’t ware as much in mls and they could help elongate a career. But his sharpness is still there so props.
@No_ProRelForMLS@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 The travel is definitely a major factor for mls. I don’t think it overrides it. I don’t think there is a legit argument to say mls is equally intense as top European leagues. But travel, especially before most teams had private charters, was not easy.
@No_ProRelForMLS@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 I’ll concede this, I completely forgot about leagues cup. That’s helped pump some numbers and I’m pretty intrigued by their schedule change next year.
@RapidsJason@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 Do I say they don’t matter at all or as much? Should I link to you the multiple quotes from players who joined or left the mls and talked about losing is much more accepted by players than in Europe. Like what are we even talking about
@No_ProRelForMLS@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 Your first point is so dumb I’m choosing to ignore it. Messi on average is playing 11 games less in Miami than he did in Europe. It’s very league dependent and team dependent but for the context of Messi, he’s playing almost 1000 minutes less a season. Travel is a good point
@GeodesicForce@MattDoyle76 If you arguement is look at Ronaldo, Ronaldo pretty famously is much worse for national team than club. Plus dude is 41 and depends on his athleticism far more than Messi.
But id agree that the Saudi league is very lax.
@FloridaManBen@MattDoyle76 Watch the mls every week.
1) wins and losses don’t matter as much
2) less games on average compared to European leagues, especially top teams
3) attackers are focus of DP and U22 rules so defenders are much worse quality.
4) salary rules lead to talent imbalance within team
@ProspectsUsmnt I was pretty defensive of Berhalter last game, took alot of blame that I didn’t think was fair. He was quite poor today. Poor passes, poor touches, offered nothing on defense
@USSoccerColl Guess what I meant is open market doesn’t seem to be a thing the mls desires. Hopefully we see more aggressiveness by teams. Maybe World Cup hype might allow the mls to become a bit more bold
