Foreign OSINT analysts, including Chinese military aviation communities, are closely tracking India's AMCA programme.
A recent satellite image from a DRDO facility near Hyderabad was enough for them to identify an earlier AMCA configuration and assess what appears to be radar-signature testing activity.

We are already in the middle of the 9th Month of 2026, and no Important defence deal has been signed yet.
*No GE414 Deal
*No Rafale deal
*No AMCA Engine deal
*No Project 75I
*No Project 15C & Project 17B
*No QRSAM
*No Akash NG
The Joke is that, from the beginning of this year, we have been hearing that we are just going to sign these deals, and 9 months have just passed!
And let's not talk about Tejas Mk1A and mk2!
We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date.
It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them.
We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies.
These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve.
We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop.

🚨 Reliance–Rolls-Royce Join Forces for AMCA Engine
Reliance Industries and Rolls-Royce have announced a strategic partnership to develop and manufacture a combat aircraft engine in India for the AMCA programme.
The partnership will also explore setting up an Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex in India.
Media Release - Reliance Industries and Rolls-Royce announce strategic intent to partner and develop India's indigenous combat engine for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme
London / Mumbai, 14thAugust 2026: Reliance Industries Limited (Reliance) and Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR., ADR: RYCEY) today announced their strategic intent to partner and offer capabilities for the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of a sovereign indigenous combat engine for India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme.
As part of the partnership, Reliance and Rolls-Royce will explore the formation of a dedicated Aerospace Gas Turbine Complex that will be a centre of excellence for power and propulsion technology in India.
The partnership will offer a compelling proposition for joint development of the AMCA engine in India, bringing together world-leading technology and industrial execution capabilities. This marks a step towards realising the vision set out by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, for India’s defence ecosystem to deliver an indigenous engine to power the country’s fighter jet programme.
Statement from Sh Anant Ambani, Executive Director, Reliance Industries Limited: "India’s strategic autonomy requires sovereign capability in critical technologies. Our intent with Rolls-Royce is to combine their world-leading expertise in advanced propulsion with Reliance’s technology, manufacturing, scale and execution capabilities to build an indigenous aero-engine ecosystem in India. Together, we aim to build an enduring national capability that can make India self-reliant and, over time, globally competitive in advanced propulsion technologies. This is our contribution to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Viksit Bharat."
Statement from Tufan Erginbilgiç, CEO, Rolls-Royce plc: "I welcome the opportunity to join forces with Reliance Industries, bringing together our century-long heritage in advanced engineering and proven engine expertise with their homegrown leadership in Indian industry. Together, with our existing partnerships and capabilities in India, this marks a major milestone towards building a robust, self-reliant aerospace ecosystem in the country."
By combining Rolls-Royce’s global leadership in engines with the established industrial strengths of Reliance, the Aero Gas Turbine Complex will build sovereign, end-to-end Indian capability across design, development, manufacturing, testing, production and through-life support. This will also unlock opportunities to explore wider collaborations across defence, civil aerospace, and new power and propulsion systems.
The alliance will support India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ vision for technology indigenisation and help position the country as a global leader in advanced propulsion capabilities.
