Barnett looked out his penthouse window and saw Rhodes & Murdoch (his tag champs) in what later would be called Daisy Duke's. They immediately dropped the titles and were sent home from probably the best paying gig they had gotten up to that point in their lives.

Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Cyndi Lauper began her Grammy Salute concert by acknowledging the wrestling industry, citing her history as a manager in the 1980s Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection.

Lauper stated: "I also want to thank the wrestlers. You know, I was a wrestling manager, so I know a few moves, don't try me."

She specifically honored Captain Lou Albano, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Freddie Blassie. Addressing critics who questioned her involvement, Lauper added: "For all the people that used to say to me, 'What are you doing with all those wrestlers? What the heck?' You know, I was having fun and they were making my life so much fun."

If you were a WCW fan in 1991 things were very bleak after Flair left nearly 5 months earlier. It was this show, more importantly during this match you could literally feel the tide shifting in the other direction.

We are sad to inform our supporters that we have been notified that former Chairman of Scarborough FC Don Robinson passed away peacefully this morning aged 91.

Don was a well respected local and international businessman and had two spells as chairman during the 70’s and 80’s. This was a golden era for the club with giant killings in the FA Cup watched by massive crowds at the Athletic Ground and of course our FA Trophy Finals at Wembley. Anyone that was at the 77 final win against Dagenham will remember Don carrying Colin Appleton on his shoulders with the trophy. He will be remembered for the passion and enthusiasm he brought to his role, wanting to move the club forward and be the best it could be.

He was a guest at our homecoming game against Sheffield United in 2017 and although he wasn’t able to attend games due to his health he was kept updated on our progress and was pleased we are doing so well.

Our condolences are with all Don’s friends and family at this time.
Rest in peace Don.

RIP Don Robinson, the man who put red in the Tiger's kits to symbolise "the blood players will shed for the cause". His contribution to #HCAFC was far greater than that though, and more than can be summed up in one tweet.

Such sad news to wake up to this Sunday morning. Knew this day would come, but Bob lived a good life that he shared for so many years with millions of wrestling fans. He was the first wrestling voice I heard 61 years ago. We will miss you Bob. "So long for now" my dear friend.
