I quit my last job to dedicate myself fully to YouTube. I got verified and approved by YouTube. I’ve never had a strike or any prior issues.

Then overnight, all my monetization was removed. A full month unpaid (~$1000), money I already invested in editors.

I run a verified channel, use my own voice, and create educational biology content. Each short (40–60s) takes over 8 hours of editing/animation… and now I owe my team.

My followers are asking me not to quit and to keep uploading… but this is getting out of my hands.

This leaves me at a total loss.

I’ve been demonetized on YouTube for over 5 months and honestly I never thought YouTube would do this to me after 8 years and 1.4M subscribers. I’ve never had a strike or any issues.

Then suddenly my monetization from December its gone (around $1000).

First it was “harmful content involving minors" and then somehow instead of getting back after the 90 days it became “reused content.”

Meanwhile I spend hours writing, voicing and editing every single video myself.

I’ve sent a video and proof via DMs here on twitter several times but no one saw it. I even Contacted support countless times and all I get back are the same copy-paste responses.

I genuinely feel ignored at this point.

8 years ago I started uploading videos, now my channel has 1.4M subscribers, my own community, and it became my full-time job.

I never had a strike. Never had issues with YouTube, In fact, just days before my demonetization, YouTube VERIFIED my channel for the 1M subscriber plaque, but then overnight, my monetization was suddenly removed with no warning and no clear explanation.

I write my own scripts.
I use my own voice.
I edit every single video myself.

Nothing is mass-produced or reused.

Each short takes me hours or the long-form videos takes me at least a month to make, and after more than 5 months demonetized, I honestly feel exhausted and lost.

I even made a full video showing my entire editing and scripting process, yet my appeal was rejected anyway.

@TeamYouTube I need help in this situation and a real human review please!

¡YouTube finally restored my monetization!

After more than a month, Youtube recognized the removal was a mistake during the review process.

Thanks to @TeamYouTube for taking another look at my case, and thanks to everyone who helped give visibility to my complaint and supported me during this process.

I’m obviously grateful to have my channel back, but honestly, it’s concerning that errors like this can affect creators for weeks or even months.

So, I want to share what helped me in case other creators are going through something similar (no need to DM me or anything — I’ll leave everything here):

1️⃣ I made a public video explaining the entire situation:

- the reason for the demonetization,
- why I believed it was incorrect,
- and showing evidence/screenshots.
(You don’t even need to show your face; I only used my voice.)

2️⃣ I asked my community for support.
Comments, engagement, and shares help bring visibility to the case.

3️⃣ I paid for X/Twitter Premium.
It definitely helped increase reach and visibility so the tweet could reach the YouTube team faster.

4️⃣ I made a tweet (english) summarizing the issue and tagged @TeamYouTube. I attached screenshots and evidence supporting my argument and showing inconsistencies in the review.

5️⃣ YouTube responded to the tweet and sent my channel for an additional review.

After that, all I could do was wait. In my case, it took around 3 more days for a final response.

I hope this helps other creators going through the same thing. Stay strong and don’t lose hope 💚

My channel was demonetized 5 months ago. I filed appeals and tried to contact them, but they only list the policies and don't explain anything about my case, which involves "reused content," and I firmly believe this is a mistake.

My channel only makes videos about interesting facts/details about movies and video games, like many others that are still monetized because they don't violate YouTube's policies. I'm simply asking that a human please review my channel.

I need help. I've been working for over three years, uploading videos to YouTube; it's my full-time job. I've never had any problems with the platform until a few days ago. Suddenly, my monetization stopped. All my effort, all the time I've invested, has gone down the drain; I had even quit my job as a tattoo artist.

I have a channel that I've worked hard to build, as I've cultivated a very loyal community. The channel is verified; I tell animated horror stories with animated scenes featuring a doge that uses my voice. It takes me more than four days to edit an 18-minute video.

I have a team; I have a thumbnail artist and an editor, besides myself, and we all depend on monetizing this channel.
