Morning all!

What an evening we had yesterday.

We spent hours on the phone and computer working to get Amazon to help us.

As some of you may see--Knives, Seasoning, and a Dash of Love by Katrina Kwan is essentially shadow-banned unless you adjust your FILTER to BOOKS on the site.

We also had our upcoming sequel--The Bonds That Break Us by Erin Mainord showing as NOT available to preorder in paperback on Amazon US.

As you know, we are a tiny press and all our readers matter so much to us.

For multiple days on multiple calls, we were told that they could not help us. We were given every *reason* why this could happen and transferred from person to person, yet no one could assist us in resolving this, and that this was a KDP issue, though we explained time and time again, that we do not use the KDP platform to upload our books. We were told it was a metadata issue... but again, no one could help us.

That said, The Bonds That Break Us is finally available on Amazon US, however, we are still working on receiving assistance on making Knives easily searchable on their site.

It came to our attention that our very own, Katrina Kwan’s upcoming Knives, Seasoning, and a Dash of Love was seemingly included in said “review bombing” … we didn’t know what to say or if we should address it upon the screenshots being shared, but some thoughtful readers brought it to light via X and we want to thank them for the support.

As a very small indie press, this is crazy for us to wrap our heads around and the potential impact to Katrina & us is far greater than the big houses. That’s not to slight the unkind actions against the other authors & books. We’d never wish such a thing on anyone. We simply exist on such a smaller scale.

We are beyond grateful for every bit of support Katrina has received for her book that releases 12.19.23—it’s amazing what this platform has given us with this community✨
