Just spoke to Colombian President-Elect @ABDELAESPRIELLA to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
The Trump Administration looks forward to working closely with your incoming administration to advance regional security cooperation, end illegal immigration to the United States, and strengthen our economic ties.
Colombia's best days are ahead.
I think it’s time to revisit the accredited investor laws in the US.
Companies are staying private longer, where only accredited investors (aka rich people!) can invest. Retail investors can only come in after IPO, when much of the upside has already been captured.
These rules were created with the best of intentions, to protect regular people from scams - a noble idea. Unfortunately, in practice they've often made it illegal to get richer, unless you're already rich. A regressive tax!
We have to judge policies based on their outcomes, not on their intentions.
These are two possible routes I see:
1) Replace the rule with something merit-based, like a financial literacy test. Pass it and you're accredited. Having a qualification based on competency rather than your bank balance or income seems far more fair.
2) Remove the rule entirely. Let consenting adults assess their own risk. Disclosure requirements stay and fraud enforcement stays to punish bad actors.
I started my YouTube channel from a hotel room in June 2019 after presenting my postdoc research at a physics conference in Oregon.
At the time, my only goal was to help people navigate the cryptoverse and avoid some of the mistakes I made as a younger investor.
I remember being genuinely excited when the channel reached its first 100 subscribers. It felt hard to imagine that many people would be interested in hearing my thoughts on markets.
Over the years, there have been plenty of successes, but also many mistakes that forced me to reassess my assumptions and become a more disciplined investor.
The truth is that this journey would not have been possible without all of you. Whether you've been here since the beginning or just recently found the channel, thank you for giving me the opportunity to do what I love every day.
Today, the channel reached 1 million subscribers.
I'm incredibly grateful for that, and I don't take it for granted.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
Container shipping rates are surging amid the Iran War:
The spot rate for a 40-foot container from Asia to the US West Coast jumped +$655, or +20%, over the last week, to ~$3,933, the highest in at least 6 months.
At the same time, the rate from Asia to Northern Europe jumped +$793, or +27%, to ~$3,649.
Since the start of the Iran War, Asia-to-US container rates have surged +109%, and Asia-to-Europe rates are up by more than +50%.
This comes as shipments rerouted around the blocked Strait of Hormuz are causing severe congestion at Southeast Asian transshipment hubs, including Singapore and Malaysia.
On top of this, carriers are charging importers fuel surcharges and shifting costs, while a pickup in demand heading into peak season for booking ocean freight is adding further pressure.
Looking ahead, available shipping capacity is set to shrink further as importers rush to replenish inventories in July and August, which could push rates even higher.
Supply chain pressures are intensifying.
In a few months profits will temporarily flow out of TradFi (cool off phase after IPOs).
People will want to know where to put their money because everything already went up so much.
And there Bitcoin will be, ready to begin the next four year cycle.
Every cycle is the same.
Yes, crypto could bounce. And honestly, it would be great for sentiment if it could. But even if it does, it would most likely result in a macro lower high.
I don't try and time those bounces. I have tried before with mixed levels of success. Sometimes it works, other times I got rekt.
When BTC drops below the 50W moving average, it then goes to the 100W moving average, spends a little time there, then goes to the 200W moving average.
Every cycle is eventually the same.
BTC topped when it always does (Q4 of the post-halving year), and so many have spent so many hours trying to convince you that it has not.
And BTC entered into a bear market, and so many have tried to get you to believe that alt season is "just around the corner" because it always happens after BTC tops. What they fail to account for is social interest. After the 2019 top there was also no rotation into altcoins, which also occurred just before QT ended.
I track the social interest in the asset class, and it has been trending down since 2021. There is no one new here for people to sell their altcoins to.
Alt seasons historically occur *after* social interest has been trending up for a year, not after it has been trending down for 5 years.
Have an actual plan on navigating this brutal asset class. Because if the altcoins you hold drop another 50%-80% from here, not a single influencer who promoted them will express an ounce of regret for it. And you will simply be living with the consequences.
I get a lot of hate for saying the truth, but an inconvenient truth is better than a lie.

If this came from an outsider, we'd all be screaming FUD!!! without taking a second look and just dismissing it as nonsense. Since this comes from ZachXBT we know it's real...and it isn't good. This industry has a LONG way to go with a LOT of problems.
#Cardano $ADA remains positioned for a potential surge toward $10, provided it maintains support above $0.80 and successfully breaks through the key $1.20 resistance!
