This movie has an absolutely stacked cast and has been in release limbo for SO long.
I know because they licensed an Real Engineering animation years ago. Curious to see if and how they used it
I'm starting to enjoy this transition. Learning more about lighitng. Messing around with my petzval lenses now. Drawing some blueprint explainations during the video.
Sparks of originality are appearing. Having fun
Has @veritasium started copying their YouTube titles from @RealEngYT ?
Were they really unaware that @TheBrianMcManus has been releasing videos titled “the insane engineering of…” for years?
Whether it was imitation or algorithmic suggestion, it looks bad to me as a viewer.
Gaeltacht summer camps were such craic.
Walking home up the windy side roads filled with cows and donkeys. Playing sports, dancing with girls after a year of all boys school, going to the beach. The 3 weeks end with our houses facing off in a song writing contest. Peak summers
Here’s me at age 15 in the Gaeltacht. You can see the posters as Gaeilge behind me.
It was Coláiste na bhFiann in Galway. We sang the Irish national anthem every morning as the flag was raised.
Indeed, I bet that many of those who seek to deny my Irish identity can’t even recite Amhrán na bhFiann. I still can. Every single word off by heart.
The video will be live on Saturday. I feel like the X-59 has gone under the radar a little for how cool it is. Optimizing for boom mitigation is such a fun design constraint.
My tiny Chihuahua charged a skunk and got sprayed straight in the face.
Made noises I haven’t made in years during the scuffle. The ones ya make when ya have to herd cattle into a field but with more urgency
Like if the cows were being absolutely bodied by a skunk for example
@TierZoo The statue at the Montana capital is of an Irish revolutionary soldier who was sent to Tasmania by the British.
He escaped and fled to the US and became governor of Montana. Not sure what drew them!
New Orleans Parish is the one county in the south that is mostly Irish.
It’s a result of the cotton trade from the Mississippi port town to the textile industry in Liverpool.
The cheapest way to get to America in the 1800s was to hitch a cheap ride as ballast for ships making their return journey
@JasonMLewis3 It fascinates me. Literally had no idea of the link until I visited New Orleans and started seeing Celtic crosses, street names and all the little clues of a more deep rooted Irish heritage.
My favourite city in the US
