Used disposable masks belong in the trash! Rain could wash discarded masks into storm drains that flow directly to local lakes, streams and wetlands. When discarded masks enter water bodies, they can harm aquatic life and diminish the quality of our water supply.

[Today's Storm] Light rain overpreads the region this morning, but heavier showers move in by early afternoon. Some flooding of clogged storm drains is possible, along with minor coastal flooding. A period of gusty winds could produce sporadic tree damage in SE Mass as well. 🌧️
Earlier today @auburnmassfire responded mutual aid to the City of #Worcester to assist @WorcesterFD with @MassDEP Emergency Response Trailer for an oil spill in the #Blackstone River behind Walmart. DEP has called in a vacuum truck from a third party cleanup contractor.
