So I pitched the media last week about my upcoming family reunion and they published the story online and in the news paper as well!! BIG TEARS😭😭

An apology from us: We pulled an offensive Halloween costume that should never have been part of our assortment. It is no longer for sale. As a company, we got this wrong, and we are deeply sorry. We know this is especially hurtful for our Black guests, team members and partners. Removing the costume is an important first step, and the company is looking closely at how this happened and what needs to change to ensure this won’t happen again.
Funerals have been a revolving epidemic for my family since 2020. My new Substack piece touches on the importance of family reunions (pivotal to longevity) beyond the funeral and more!

For the first time, five African American surgeons now lead the Trauma Service at the preeminent Johns Hopkins Hospital. This milestone, recognized during Black History Month, proves generations of determination behind every title. Linsey Davis reports. https://t.co/QzCTi776bC
My PR Insight: #Glorilla’s sister, Victoria, can capitalize on this moment to better herself for long-term success. Furthering her education, launching a small biz (she can speak/advocate on broken homes/family division from a therapeutic lens), etc! Turn that pain into passion!
Our forever First Lady @MichelleObama and President @BarackObama, a true Commander in Chief.
Both represent dignity, decency, and public service—two leaders who gave this country grace and backbone.
Let’s continue to honor their legacy.
Today, I attended @PRSAHouston’s annual event, #SageandSeekers luncheon. I left with insightful gems from industry experts, new connections (and refreshed connections with former colleagues), and even provided mentorship and guidance to rising college students about PR and more!
It’s still surreal to me — though I’ve been doing this for some time now — to see a media inquiry transform to an article. Especially being involved in the prep/curation of holding statements etc! #MediaRelations
Yolanda Saldivar, the woman convicted of killing Selena Quintanilla in 1995, was denied parole by the Texas Board of Paroles. She’s currently serving a life sentence in Gatesville, Texas. Her next parole review is in 2030. Full story here: https://t.co/dgpelxGi4d
Today was my last therapy appointment of the year. My therapist and I closed the year out strong. I’m so glad and proud of myself for starting therapy this year. The last seven months have truly been rewarding! Cheers to an amazing year💪🏾💙
While on my morning cardio run, this couple — who I pass daily walking their dogs — stopped me and congratulated me on my progress. Stating that they see the results and how encouraging and motivating I am to them!
In short, you never know who’s watching. KEEP GOING!
