Not dismissing right wing violence (J6, Minnesota), but I’m increasingly convinced left wing violence is more acute and socially permissible. Permission structures being built that the left can’t take back. Right wing violence with same intensity will be much worse.

A vocal section of the left has grown progressively more approving and encouraging of political violence. The Trump, Kavanaugh, Shapiro, and now Kirk attempts - are increasingly being celebrated. Not a good path. The inevitable right wing answer will be shocking.

@MassGovernor is trying to jam through a sweetheart deal for a foreign company to redo 18 service plazas on MA highways, mainly Mass Pike. Her DOT is snubbing a Waltham co., Global Partners, that has long held the contract. Global offered $900 million more than the foreign company, which has cut in mega-politically wired Suffolk Construction, owned by billionaire John Fish, for a piece of the cake.

Almost a billion dollars! They are walking away from all that dough to do a big fat favor for Fish & his cutthroat crew of lobbyists & hacks, who have included over the years any number of payroll patriots, including at one point Mayor Menino’s son, Mumbles Jr.

Meet Scott Bosworth, longtime Republican State House hack who’s been running the “selection process” in this tainted deal. Bosworth really, really loves Suffolk Construction, and they seem to love him back, because what’s not to love if you’re handing them $$$$$ contracts (through the foreign company).
