Honest take from the engineering trenches: building universal security is easy if you ignore the fringe protocols. It’s hard when you decide to support everything.

At @aiaurasecurity , we stopped ignoring the hard stuff.

We are currently deep in the weeds building native security integrations for both ERC-7110 (standardizing smart contract security hooks) and the highly specialized x402 protocol layer.

The challenge isn't just connectivity; it’s interpretation. A standard WAF or static analyzer has zero clue what a malicious payload looks like inside an x402 packet, and it certainly can't parse the nuanced state changes signaled by an ERC-7110 event.

This is why we had to build our own proprietary AI engine from the ground up. We couldn't rely on off-the-shelf models trained on generic HTTP traffic. Our engine is being trained on the specific state-machine behaviors and attack vectors inherent to these distinct protocols. We're moving beyond signature matching into real-time behavioral heuristics tailored for these specific architectures.

It’s painful engineering, but essential for true Protection-as-a-Service.
