Coordinating community & capital in the fight for reproductive access | Supporting frontline nonprofits | 💜

[ChoiceDAO (🗽,🗽) @TheChoiceDAO]

26 days ago the US Supreme Court overturned Roe.

26 states are likely to ban abortion access to the fullest extent.

We haven't forgotten.

We've been quietly building a global army of activists.

Today we launch direct contributions to fund & engage in the fight 🧵👇

[ChoiceDAO (🗽,🗽) @TheChoiceDAO]

We shared in #general and #treasury Discord channels back in November ´22 about disbursement of funds but didn't follow up here — and wanted to close the loop!

We didn't hit our original fundraising goal but we're proud of what our members have done for an important cause.

Treasury report on Twitter: we successfully donated ~$20k (at the time) to 3 incredible abortion rights organizations chosen by our community back in November 🗽

6⃣ @TheAfiyaCenter: Bringing awareness to reproductive oppression and the increased risk of transmission of HIV to women of color.

7⃣ @BoldFutures: Building reproductive justice in New Mexico for women and people of color.

Our most important vote is here: disperse ALL treasury funds!

The fight to protect abortions is incredibly underfunded.

We've presented 10 nonprofits that have inspired our community...

Funds will go to the 3 with the most votes.

@IWRising @KeepOurClinics @ARC_Southeast 4⃣ @AbortionStories: Investing in abortion storytellers — those of color, queer-identified, varying abilities and need navigation in abortion.

5⃣ @AllAboveAll: Catalyst for affordable and available abortion justice.

Our research shows us this over and over again: people seeking abortion care are making thoughtful, informed decisions. We trust patients to know what is right for them.
