Shameful.
The Biden Admin can no longer reconcile their professed concern for Palestinians and human rights while also single-handedly vetoing the UN’s call for ceasefire and sidestepping the entire US Congress to unconditionally back the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza.
So to summarize:
- the infrastructure and servicing is a subsidy to @ThermeCanada
- the parking garage is a subsidy to @ThermeCanada
- the relocation of the Science Centre is a subsidy to @ThermeCanada
Congratulations, Ontario, on your $1.5B publicly-funded private spa.
1/ I’m again renewing my call for @POTUS Biden to push for a ceasefire—or at minimum a pause in fighting—so that food, water and medical supplies can get to the people of Gaza. I remain deeply concerned about my constituents and all foreign nationals who are trapped in Gaza.
Agree. Joe Biden and Congressional leaders have an opportunity to demonstrate moral clarity in this moment. They should do so. The slaughter of Israelis on October 7 was wrong, and the slaughter of innocent civilians in Gaza with disproportionate force is wrong. Need a ceasefire.
#DYK the Ontario Place redevelopment is a secret, 95-year lease of well-used public land to subsidize a for-profit company to the tune of almost $1-billion including a $500-million parking garage? If wrong show us & @ONPlace4All the lease @KingaSurmaMPP.
