In this present day no, we don’t need it, cause all it has done is made more political problems, no unity of some ground to co-exist, made communities use it for getting money out of you, the same people in the community can hate one another, making things “science” that aren’t, and etc

So with that, I can say that LGBTQ is a poison to both sides, the ones who aren’t in or ones who are in the community.
And that I or others don’t need it to have friendship with one another
