ABKB: A private e-scooter is an “automobile” for Section B purposes under current SPF 1. As the Court noted, the definition has been unchanged since 1970 while micro-mobility has proliferated, so my Tuesday note on the draft SPF 1’s e-scooter wording is accidentally aging well.

ABKB: A private e-scooter is an “automobile” for Section B purposes under the current SPF 1 wordings. Given Applications Judge Wanke’s observation that “It is for the legislature to decide if new definitions are needed,” I suppose the new SPF 1 wordings are arriving right on cue.

ONSC: BI coverage doesn't end just because physical repairs are complete. After arson and gunfire damaged a law office, insurer-clients pulled their files (ouch) and the firm closed. The resulting loss was held to be sufficiently connected to the physical damage, subject to the 12-month indemnity period.
