LAI token stakers have gradually acquired Data Capsules over the last year. Data Capsules are defined by their earning capacity, longevity, and other characteristics, which dictate their effectiveness in earning DATUM reward tokens.

Purchases of $DATUM need $LAI, meaning $LAI gets bought and locked up. $LAI is the money used to buy $DATUM.
