Free agent center Kristaps Porzingis has agreed to a two-year, $40 million contract extension to return to the Golden State Warriors through 2027-28, with a player option in the second season, agent Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management tells ESPN.
There will be year-round activation of 180 acres on the banks of the Anacostia—on both game days and non-game days.
Not yet pictured: the day DC hosts the Super Bowl.
Exciting new details about activating the RFK campus.
Birds-eye view:

• Festival plaza immediately to the west
• Stadium will unlock surrounding campus, including housing, restaurants, parks, open space, neighborhood amenities, & more
ESPN Sources: The Eagles and DT Jordan Davis have reached agreement on a three-year extension, tying him to Philadelphia for the next four seasons.
Davis was the No. 13 pick in 2022 and was entering his fifth-year option season worth $12.938M.
ESPN sources: Bears Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman has informed the team that he is retiring from the NFL at age 27. Dalman left Stanford in 2021, and after four seasons in Atlanta and one in Chicago, he has made the sudden and surprising decision to retire.
Sources: Miami’s eight-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill is being released. Hill turns 32 on March 1, is recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ACL, and now will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
His release will save the Dolphins $22.8 million against the salary cap.
#49ers GM John Lynch on Brandon Aiyuk:
“It’s safe to say he’s played his last snap as a Niner.”
Aiyuk transaction will come at some point but he will not be back.
Update: Giants and John Harbaugh still are working through the details of their contract, and it is not yet done, per sources.
The final issues aren’t over money; it’s over language. “There’s no derailment and nothing has changed,” one source said. Talks continue, and the two sides are working to get it across the finish line.
We fought for over a decade to take back control of the RFK site.
One year ago today, the legislation that gave DC control of our own destiny at the RFK campus was signed into law.
Since then, we struck a deal with the Commanders, won Council approval twice, and now we're tearing down the blighted stadium.
Now, we’re delivering jobs to DC residents and opportunities for DC businesses—and in 2030, we’ll finally going to bring the Commanders home.
We've selected @HKSArchitects, a global architecture and design firm, as the lead architect for our new stadium at the RFK site
