I’m a woman and a gamer. Female protagonists get love and we women folk don’t need Kratos’ hand me downs. I think this game looks lovely. Marketing it as a God of War game will be a mistake. Marketing it as FROM the World of God of War would be smarter. It would be like making a Tomb Raider without Laura, people will be annoyed. As a woman I am more open to playing a new IP than being told a traditionally male character led IP is being switched to a new female character lead.
