Not only INDIA Bloc - it was great to see CJP office bearers support the protests yesterday. Very mature of them to move on from the online squabbles with Congress IT Cell workers.
Right now every party / group / org. that believes in the Constitution should have a common goal - remove Gyanesh and restore transparency in the working of the EC.
After that - they can fight for as long as they wish!!😬

If the Govt does go ballistic on the CJP - it wouldn’t be surprising. We have been repeatedly stressing on 2 points -
1. Gyanesh is NOT Pradhan. He’s not some cabinet minister who can be chucked when political exigency arises. He is far more central to Modi-Shah’s plans.
2. The opposition remains split. AAP vs Congress vs CJP - daily spats…. When they should have been pooling their meagre resources together. Govt knows this - moving early may stop any consolidation that India Bloc is trying to forge.
Getting Gyanu has to be a joint national project. It’s bigger than any Party’s ego.

Did CJP miscalculate when it demanded the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar? Did Abhijit Dipke think that Kumar was just another Pradhan - that the BJP would sacrifice under public pressure?

My first reaction was to check if Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was going to retire tomorrow and his stinging rebuke to the EC & Gyanesh Kumar was part of his farewell speech…. This sort of candour has sadly gone extinct in the Apex Court and only retiring Justices are able to say the obvious.
However I am happy to report that Justice Bhuyan will be around in the SC till 2029. He gives us some hope in today’s dark times that the Constitution will be saved.

Any process which leads to wholesale disenfranchisement of Indians making them Indians without voting rights violates Articles 326 and 14. No amount of whataboutery can justify a process that results in disenfranchising millions of Indian citizens, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan.

Brutality unleashed by #DelhiPolice at Jantar Mantar - on women, journalists, Congress & Left party workers, is nothing new.
Now #MumbaiPolice has also been forced to file an FIR against CJP organisers & 500 protesters at Shivaji Park.
But what explains #HyderabadPolice storming the Dharna Chowk protests site at 3pm to - forcing the event to end citing 'time permissions'?
Protests against Gyanesh Kumar should atleast be allowed to held freely, peacefully & indefinitely in opposition ruled states (the last I checked @revanth_anumula was still with @INCIndia)

Indian Express’s Investigation Into Gyanesh Kumar’s misdeeds are only part of the story. The rot in the Election Commission is wider & much more brazen.
Independent news outlets like @reporters_co have been reporting for some time now on how Form 7 has been weaponised by a party - with the active involvement of the EC. The aim? - to create a voteless citizenry in India and a permanent capture of power.
