@DataChaz That is an incredibly weird Macbook, no monitor and it has a Linux sticker.
I always install Chrome, IA Writer (markdown), Alfred, divvy, copyClip and very important 'amphetamine' to stop it going to sleep
Why MariaDB may be better than MySQL
• It was forked by the original creator of MySQL after Oracle bought it, and it stays fully open source and community-led.
• It often gets useful features earlier and has no "enterprise only" parts held back by Oracle.
• It is mostly a drop-in replacement, but the two have drifted apart in newer versions, so test before switching.
PostgreSQL
• Good at: a strong all-rounder that handles complex queries, strict data rules and JSON, and scales well as a project grows.
• Never use when: you only need a tiny local store for one app on one device, where SQLite is much simpler.
MongoDB
• Good at: storing flexible, document-shaped data where the structure changes often and you need to move fast.
• Never use when: your data is highly connected and needs strict consistency across many records, such as accounting or billing.
MySQL
• Good at: fast, simple reads for classic web apps, with a huge community and cheap hosting everywhere.
• Never use when: you need advanced queries or strong data checks, because PostgreSQL does these better for the same effort.
No price is fine. I just think for deep thinking work Fable is better. But I use openrouter and pi. I have a harness and I let it decide except for pure grunt work. Then I use deepseek flash latest... And JEV. Due decisions. Harness decides. For me Fable is big picture thinking, opus per task planning. I don't get too hung up on this.
Choose your poison and stick with it. Even when opus 5 was driving me nuts and everyone was singing praises of astra 6. I stick it out, Fable 5 low. Now I see people complain about astra 6. Really they are close right now. I have taken a step toward agnostic workflows, using openrouter and @pidotdev because switching is easy and adding JEV was a piece of cake
I have gotten agents working with Jira, bit quite what you are looking for. Then there is buzz from Jack Dorsey. Nobody talks about it anymore. I am starting my own business in 2-3 weeks time. I am thinking of having a PO Agent run the Jira board orchestrating agents through slack. But this could go wrong fast. Work in progress
@bot I have a $30 Grok account but it logs in from Apple. I'm going to try and get it to work. It logs into Cursor, which I don't have. For Cursor I used to have an account but that's on my Gmail. It's a total mess. How am I going to get you guys up and running for me so that I can use you?
