Even when the sun goes down, there is still excitement at the @OhioStateFair! 🎡 If you haven't made it out to the Fair, you still have time. Visit the Ohio State Fair through August 9. https://t.co/iDiPwDD0Au
Fran and I had a great visit to Marr/Cook Elementary School in Clermont County this morning to celebrate the school’s exceptional work to help their students see their best and read their best.
Marr/Cook Elementary School earned the 2026 Governor's Science of Reading Champions Award for their work in literacy, and they participate in the new OhioSEE program, which is bringing crucial vision services directly to the school.

While our flags here in Ohio are now back to full staff, our hearts are still heavy for the three Ohio airmen who lost their lives recently in the war with Iran. May God bless these three brave Ohioans, and may God bless their families.
OhioSEE is up and running in Butler County! Fran and I had a wonderful time celebrating with New Miami Schools yesterday as a group of elementary students received their new eyeglasses.
OhioSEE is making an impact on kindergarten through third grade students across Ohio! Hear what the kids are saying about their new glasses. https://t.co/4kGTX7AWCN
With OhioSEE, kids are now seeing clearly. Fran and I were thrilled to celebrate with a number of students at Robinwood Lane Elementary School yesterday who received new eyeglasses.
Today was a special day as we officially kicked off OhioSEE, our children's eyesight program. Of the kids who are identified as needing an eye exam, or glasses, 75 percent of them never receive the care they need. OhioSEE fixes that by bringing vision care directly to them at school.
It was great to celebrate the new Gallia Academy High School Wellness Center, which was built with support from a $2.6 million grant from our Appalachian Children's Health Initiative. This new clinic will help meet an essential need in this community, offering healthcare services that are convenient and accessible. https://t.co/9iQZeaDczi
The Science of Reading is making a tremendous impact on early literacy in Ohio. Reading is the key to everything for our children – it opens the door to education, to employment, and to life.
Today Fran and I explored some incredible must-see attractions in Southeast Ohio with our family. We enjoyed a tour of The Wilds Safari Park in Cumberland, a pontoon boat tour across the Muskingum River, and visited the “Big Muskie Bucket” at Jesse Owens State Park. #OhioTheHeartofitAll offers unforgettable moments that bring families closer. Last week, @ohiodnr unveiled a plaque at Great Council State Park to recognize @FranDeWine's dedication and advocacy that helped make the park a reality. Her unwavering support has been crucial to the park’s success in its first year. @OHStateParks
Addiction to screentime and the non-stop barrage of notifications rob our children of precious time to learn from their teachers during the school day. I support legislation to put an end to cell phone use during school hours in all Ohio school districts, to give the precious time during the school day back to our kids so they can learn — and teachers can teach!
I congratulate Major General John C. Harris Jr. (Retired) on 44 years of service to our state and country, including six years as adjutant general. We wish him all the best as he transitions into his new role with @OhioVets.
Sitting beneath her portrait in the Ohio House Chamber today, I signed Senate Bill 14, officially designating September 28 as "Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Day." This special designation will help ensure that future generations learn about the impact the first female speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives had on our state.
