@lihimsidhe @RealJamesWoods The reason for showing the stomach-mouth-gun scene, was to drive home Max was being programmed. No normal person would do that, Max was under the influence of the signal, VideoDrome. The gun was symbolism for the negative effects Of Violence under VideoDrome. My 2 cents.

@lihimsidhe @RealJamesWoods I just watched your review of VideoDrome. I feel like the disappearance of Harlan, and lack of gore/shrapnel.. it was on-purpose. The lack of gore/shrapnel drove the implication home, without having to show it. It makes the scene more impactful, for me, anyways.
