A TikToker insulted Baba Adeboye, calling him stupid. Some of Baba's sons(nonbiological) went and arrested him using the police, according to Baba himself.

It took Baba Adeboye mounting the pulpit demanding he be released. This has to stop.

When has our favorite preacher being insulted warranted oppression?

You went ahead to unlawfully arrest a person because he insulted your favorite preacher?

How carnal must you be to sink to such depths of godlessness?

Have we not read the Scriptures that Jesus forbade Peter from defending Him? And the rest of the disciples?

John 18:36

"Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

Unless you are physically defending your pastor from an actual assault, you will stand guilty before Jesus if you arrest someone for insulting your pastor.

This is not zeal. This is not loyalty.

If you have to hurt another person to defend your pastor, you may have created an idol out of him.

We are not Jihadists.
We are not extremists.

Let's stop this. It is an indictment of our standing with the public as Christians.

The highest defense we can give to insult is a verbal rebuke. And when it comes to criminal cases, we take it up with the law.

Let this stop from amongst us.
It is un-Christian to do.
