African feminism did not begin In textbooks,conferences or foreign institutions.
It has deep roots in African histories of resistance,community leadership and struggles for liberation,and the proof has always been there if you know where to look.
What colonial feminism looks like:
โ The "saving women" narrative
โ Ignoring women's agency
โ Using gender equality selectively and only when it serves imperial interests
African women have always known how to fight for themselves.
