In my second year in Medical school, i went for a miracle crusade by Kumuyi in Ibadan.
The man preached. After preaching, he said a simple prayer asking the Holy Spirit to do His work in the name of Jesus. The place was quite and in less than 5 minutes, shouting was happening at different places. There was a someone near me with 1 leg longer than the other. Next thing, she was shouting and jumping. Yes, the legs became equal and she ran up the stage with her higher shoe in her hands.
I saw the raw power of God at work.

I had kidney infection.
It made me repeat JSS3. This was for close to a year. I could not walk, my Dad would take me to LUTH and so many hospitals around Lagos. Then one day, my Mum’s friend told my Mum there would be a night vigil at Canaan Land and Bishop David Oyedepo would pray for me. Never been there before but with faith, my Mum took me there.

The Quran has now been proven to be a historical fabrication with no iota of historical accuracy.

Let's go through some of the evidence that completely decimate it:

1. Borrowed Stories

The Quran presents old legends as if they were God’s words. See the story of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.

The Quran said the Hoopoe bird which spoke to Solomon led Sheba to him. But this story is from a Jewish comical fable.

The Targum Sheni (a Jewish midrashic tale, c. 4th–6th century, written to embellish Esther’s story) says: “The hoopoe said to Solomon… ‘I have seen the city of Sheba.’”

Quran 27:20–23: “He said, ‘Why do I not see the hoopoe?’… [the hoopoe said] ‘I have come from Sheba with sure news.’”

Then the story of Cain and Abel

Pirke de-Rabbi Eliezer 21 (a Jewish commentary from around the 8th century, expanding Genesis with folklore) records:

“Adam… saw a raven bury its mate… and he learned how to bury the dead.”

Quran 5:31: “Allah sent a crow scratching the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother.”

Another borrowing that Muhammed, if he ever existed, didn't know was a fable.

Jesus as a Child

Infancy Gospel of Thomas (a 2nd-century Gnostic gospel of childhood miracles) says: “He made twelve sparrows of clay… and cried to them, ‘Go!’ and they flew away.”

Quran 3:49: “I will make for you out of clay the form of a bird… and it will become a bird by Allah’s leave.”

Arabic Infancy Gospel (a 6th-century apocryphal gospel about Mary and the infant Jesus) says: “Jesus spoke while in the cradle, ‘I am Jesus, the Son of God.’”

Quran 19:30: “He said, ‘Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture.’”

So, the inventors of the Quran borrowed fables, tales, and myths and passed it as God's word.

2. Historical Mistakes

The Quran also makes claims that don’t fit history.

Joseph and the Dirhams

Quran 12:20: “They sold him for a paltry price—few dirhams.”

Problem: Dirhams didn’t exist in Joseph’s time. It was a currency created like 2,000 years later.

The Bible correctly records: “They sold Joseph… for twenty shekels of silver.” (Gen. 37:28).

So, the 8th cnetury inventors of the Quran actually used their own time's currency and back dated it.

A fabrication.

What about David’s armor? Quran said David had a chain mail.

Quran 21:80: “We taught him the making of coats of mail for you.”

Problem: Chain mail was invented centuries after David lived.

What about Mary the mother of Jesus? Quran inventors thought she was the same as Miriam the sister of Moses!

Quran 19:28: “O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil.”

Problem: Mary, the mother of Jesus, is confused with Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron. She lived 1,400 before her.

What about Alexander’s Iron Wall?

Alexander Romance (a Greek legend from c. 3rd century CE, blending history and myth) says: “He built gates of iron between two mountains to shut in Gog and Magog.”

Quran 18:94–98
“They said: ‘O Dhul-Qarnayn! Indeed Gog and Magog are great corrupters in the land. So may we pay you tribute on the condition that you erect a barrier between us and them?’

Quran 18:96: “He said, bring me blocks of iron… then pour upon it molten copper.”

Problem: This is legend only; no wall has ever been found.

3. The Myth of a Perfect Quran
The claim that the Quran has never changed is false.

After Muhammad’s death, his companions had different codices. Caliph Uthman chose one and burned the rest.

In the 7th century, further changes came under Caliph Abd al-Malik to suit dialects.

By the 10th century, many readings existed until Ibn Mujahid limited them to seven (later ten).

In 1924, Al-Azhar in Egypt chose one version (Hafs ‘an ‘Asim) as the official text and printed it, discarding others.

Manuscripts like the Sana’a palimpsest in Yemen show clear variations.

And even today, scholars admit the problem. In 2020, Yasir Qadhi, a well-known Islamic scholar, said there are “holes in the narrative” of Quran preservation.

Finally, the Quran borrows fables, makes basic historical blunders, and has been edited and reshaped for centuries.

It was never sent down unchanged, but is one of the most altered and disputed books in history.

If the Quran is false, it is, then Islam is false, it is.
