@PhilRidinBikes @cyclocross24 Apart from what's already been said, it's also the case that Lauren Molengraaf was awfully unlucky in the women's junior race and if you look at for example the 1st year U23s 2nd and 3rd were Dutch, behind Backstedt. The dominance will probably be lesser but I doubt it'll go away
Suppose this is the one time to relentlessly shill.
I make videos about cyclocross, both past and present, mostly trying to make the sport more accessible and easy to get into.

@cyclocross24 I know it’s been a while since the last race here, but are the arrows facing the wrong way? I could’ve sworn the course ran the other direction
@BenjiNaesen No idea what anyone’s calendars are this year but here goes,
Strade Bianche: van Empel
Gent-Wevelgem: Balsamo
Ronde van Vlaanderen: van Vleuten
Paris-Roubaix Femmes: Brand
Amstel Gold Race: Vollering
Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes: van Vleuten
@Michael_De_Pauw @MaryIeboner @BenjiNaesen@JumboVismaRoad I suppose not directly but at the same time people do still come there for genuine analysis. For what its worth I don’t think it’s some heinous crime, but at the same time I don’t think I’d have done it.
@MaryIeboner @BenjiNaesen@JumboVismaRoad At heart the issue was simply: is it okay to run a podcast where you claim to be totally neutral and factual whilst being on the payroll of a team. Which tbh I think is a valid criticism, can you be entirely unbiased in that situation is a very valid question to ask.
@BenjiNaesen I’ll take the punt on Fem van Empel, never really raced much road but now with Jumbo support and sky high ambitions everyone will know her name by the end of the year. Bit like Van Anrooijs ever presence last year.
@chyall_@cyclocross24 I deliberately didn’t count Vas because like I said she’s The only person who was able to match those three. I just wanted to highlight that today’s performance is a huge outlier.
@Michael_De_Pauw @DavideHansen @VVGenechten2 @BenjiNaesen He's 2nd in the Young riders competition only behind 2 time Tour winner Pogacar, over half an hour clear of everyone else in his first Tour. He also won arguably the queen stage of the race. He's got a learn to learn but to dismiss him like that is criminal.
