📣 Announcement: The Founder Hour - Final Episode
What started in 2017 as a passion project between friends Patrick Tanahan (Pat) and Nerses Aposhian (Posh) has grown into something far greater than either could have imagined.
Over the past seven years, The Founder Hour has become a platform for sharing the stories of more than 250 incredible founders and recording over 280 episodes filled with lessons, insights, and unforgettable moments.
This journey has been amazing. From two friends with an idea sitting in Pat's garage, we have reached millions of listeners in 185 countries. All we can say is, WOW!
Through countless conversations with some of the greatest business minds, we’ve had the privilege of learning, growing, and connecting with a community that shares our love for entrepreneurship and storytelling.
Today, we’re announcing the end of The Founder Hour podcast—and no, this isn’t one of our infamous April Fool’s jokes! (Where are you, Oprah!?) It’s a bittersweet decision, but we’re proud to close this chapter while still at the top of our game. The stories we’ve shared and the lessons we’ve learned will live on forever and remain accessible on our website (https://t.co/8DwYYrHESf), Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.
We owe an enormous THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible: our incredible guests, the executive assistants who worked with us dozens of times to schedule a podcast, the PR teams (the great ones and even the not-so-great ones), our sponsors, and most importantly, YOU—our listeners. Whether you cheered us on publicly or quietly tuned in every episode, your support has meant the world to us.
While this marks the end of The Founder Hour, it’s not a goodbye—it’s a “see you later.” Who knows what the future holds? For now, we’re grateful for the ride and excited to see where the next adventure takes us.
With gratitude,
Pat & Posh
Those who know me know that Jon and Vinny’s is my favorite restaurant in LA.
Enjoyed having Chef Vinny on this week’s all-new episode of the @TheFounderHour to hear about how it came to be. 🍕🍝🍷

We had Ronnie on the show back in 2020 and went through his whole story. It’s pretty darn incredible (and our most downloaded episode to date).

We want to add the word "sometimes" at the end of this sentence.
And a lot of these delusional founders have been guests on our show.
@PatrickTanahan@NersesAposhian - who are some of the most delusional founders you've had on the pod?
Taylor Hill on the pod! 🚨
Check out our newest episode with the supermodel, @VictoriasSecret Angel, and founder of Tate & Taylor — out now on all podcast platforms.

IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad, who started the company when he was 17, flew coach, stayed in budget hotels, drove an old Volvo, and always tried to get his haircuts in poor countries. He died in 2018 at the age of 91 with an estimated net worth of almost $60 billion.
Nobody knows anything.
True of Hollywood, true of Silicon Valley, true of anywhere innovation takes place. No one knows if your idea will work or not before you actually collide it with reality and try it out.
So please… just start.
Very excited to share my conversation with @JGebbia on @TheFounderHour today!
Joe is one-of-a-kind, a relentless optimist who sees the world differently from most.
I enjoyed hearing fun stories from his childhood and his time at @RISD, the impact that Charles and Ray Eames have had on him leading to the creation of the @EamesInstitute, meeting @BChesky and the instant connection they had, how @Airbnb was born, the lessons learned from dealing with constant rejection early on, and what he's up to now with @Samara.
Available now on all podcast platforms. 🎧
Philanthropic Work and the @EamesInstitute
Beyond Airbnb, Joe relocated to Austin, Texas, becoming a minority owner of the @Spurs and aligning his entrepreneurial pursuits with his passion for sports.
Committed to making a positive impact, Joe is passionate about causes such as homelessness and environmental sustainability.
He also helped establish the Eames Institute for Infinite Curiosity, reflecting his commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.

His Vision for @Samara
Joe's journey at Airbnb taught him invaluable leadership lessons and underscored the importance of creativity and innovation. His artistic sensibility helped him approach problems with a fresh perspective, leading to the creation of Samara, a venture focused on reimagining home design.
After Airbnb went public, Joe branched Samara out as a separate company, recognizing the potential in the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) space.
