@StainXIII@LePapillonBlu2 “Ends up”? The project isn’t even finished. This isn’t the “vision” for the project.
And yes, I applaud his attempts to make the country look better. Yep.
Id do the same thing for anyone else making such attempts.
@minionmomUWU@LePapillonBlu2 I didn’t. And I’m a conservative.
I wouldn’t have blamed Biden for such a trivial issue. There are plenty of other things to fault him for than algae.
The same thing can be said for Trump, just to a lesser extent.
I’m aware of this. And I feel I’m perfectly reasonable. As I continue to say, if someone were to mention a topic I disagree or actually fault him for, the conversation would be different.
I just don’t hold him at fault for such a small temporary issue, that will be getting fixed in the future overhaul in the fall anyways. Did his project “vision” include peeling paint and green water? Certainly not. So to me, that is mostly the fault of the contractor.
But even then, the water turned green because of more serious pump/plumming issues. They used strong chemicals to treat the algae. Which then caused the paint to peel. Overall unfortunate, but I applaud his attempt to make the capital look better, and I understand there will sometimes be failures with large construction projects. Especially if it’s a time sensitive project with deeper “needs”. It is what it is.
In opposed to hundred million dollar bathrooms elsewhere in the country? Who am I to question a project cost I know so little about.
I simply do not blame Trump for the actions of a contractor. There are other things I do blame him for. But this really isn’t one of them. Shit is petty and irrelevant.
@cutiieepie6 That you’re taking a temporary situation, and making a permanent comparison.
Bet you won’t say shit once this problem is finally resolved tho huh?
I don’t. But (those two groups) are indeed a majority of the homeless population.
But yes, I believe the mentally ill (who are a danger to themselves or others) should be involuntarily placed into asylums.
I also believe the addicts should be forced to rid theirselves of their addiction by means of diversion program or jail. As customary for anyone who violates the law. Like possession of controlled substances.
This is not a foreign concept at all.
I also have a lot of insight into these issues, and I still believe this to be the solution. It has nothing to do with homelessness, it is simply a side effect of the behaviors and decisions these people made.
For the very few people who are homeless and not a part of those two groups, I think we should help them get into housing (with a few stipulations of course).
Homelessness cannot be ended with ANY amount of money!
As it is not the lack of money, or housing, that causes the majority of these people to be homeless.
It’s drug addiction and mental illness..
You want to spend money to stop homelessness, reopen the asylums.
Arrest the addicts and force them into rehab, or jail if they refuse or fail the programming.
Anything else is just treating the symptoms!
With $300 billion, we could end homelessness, fund cancer research for 40 years, and give every child free pre-K for over 7 years. Instead, Trump is sending it to Iran. This is not America First. Not even close.
@LawyerDave1@iainlol@LePapillonBlu2 When it’s complete I am sure it will be.
But currently, it’s still an improvement to the disgusting state it was left in.
@RuizEpieces@LePapillonBlu2 Not quite. It’s just logical.
Bring up a topic I disagree with Trump with, and the response will be different.. Imagine that.
@ForrestLamp37@LePapillonBlu2 Depends on how much it cost? And bidding on contracts has its own collection of problems. As for stealing money from the project, that is a matter for a courtroom. If such things can be proven, they should be prosecuted for them.
There are all manner of problems that happen during construction projects. Especially large or complex projects.
Also, you’re aware he doesn’t take these things with him when he leaves office right? They remain. In the nations capitol. Where they beautify the city and can be enjoyed by everyone. They also project the power and greatness of the United States. These are very basic concepts.
@Heliobito In the comment you just made.
Why won’t you answer my questions?
Because it makes logical sense, and it justifies exactly what I mentioned earlier. Drug possession is a crime. Being a drug addict doesn’t give you immunity from responsibility..
