Looks like textbook price action for an expansion higher, but it just won’t go.

Tried two long setups during London Session that were both stopped out.

-2R on the day.

@PerceptivTrader My personal favourite downside guardrails are:

• Maximum amount of trades
• Maximum loss limit

These did wonders for my performance and stopped me from harmful behaviour on bad days.

In hindsight, the PDL sweep I traded failed because of the sheer amount of liquidity resting below it, which was the true draw.

Trying to trade a reversal off that level didn’t make sense.

Still a good trade in my book, but something to note for the future.

A frustrating loss to begin the week.

Despite my emotions, I followed my process flawlessly so this is a good loss.

My obsession with sharpening my skill and refining my model is reaching immense heights.

No trade day.

Both pairs had huge expansions overnight so there was nothing of interest for me.

Ending the week at breakeven.

Price has swerved my limit order for a second time.

The only way to get in would be to blindly sell with a stop on the most recent high, which is something I’m not comfortable doing.

Easy to feel FOMO on days like these, but it’s best to just let the day pass.

Not taking a trade because there was no trade should feel like a win.
