Because they don’t think beyond what are effectively state run power companies

But if shipping companies had their way their fleets would be nuclear powered.

Data centers are going nuclear.

Large factories should have reactors.

Desalination plants should be nuclear powered.

Fertilizer production should be nuclear powered.

Companies need energy and they are going to gravitate towards the cheapest source.

Also it’s not the oil companies fault - it’s the state. The oil companies only have any influence because the state is involved

You’re right and that’s what I want to solve. I’m looking to see if I can somewhat automate it. Modern ones output a digital image.

I’m thinking of two ways to do it.

1. Have a reference projection for each thread and then overlay the project onto a reference and measure the difference. I don’t think this would be the most accurate but it may be good enough

2. Since they output a digital image I may be able to make a wire frame of the profile, put it into a cad software, then have virtual over wires. I think this would be more accurate. But probably just as much work as doing an overwire by hand unless I can automate it
