@TheNewsAgents@jonsopel@lewis_goodall Of course not. But malign disinformation campaigns from hostile foreign states can. As well as a little sprinkle from K-Berg and data bombs from Cummings. All of which wasn't really reported with any great analysis. So maybe the silence of the media can too?
Blocked on Instagram by the wonderful @DrNighatArif for asking this: 'Why are we not talking more about Hamas using civilians as human shields? It's just simply not true that Israel are purposely targeting civilians'. Says more about her views than mine. So sad. 1/2

@TheInfoCouncil @itsbigwullie@OddieStunt Totally agree again and the data shows that. The areas that voted EU exit in 2016 and turned blue in 2019 are all impoverished areas, low employment, low education. Investment in education and public services are key.
@OddieStunt Absolutely, but I'm also a bit of an idealist and I tend to look for a sense of duty in those that choose to be politicians; a genuine desire to make things better for all. Not just be in a position of power.
@TheInfoCouncil @itsbigwullie@OddieStunt 100% agree. the irony of the Conservative party since the referendum is that if they had moved to the centre and pursued a 'soft Brexit' they could have stayed in power for generations. In the end, the lunatics took over the asylum. The centre is where the power is.
@itsbigwullie @TheInfoCouncil @OddieStunt The centre-right are the ones who probably feel politically homeless right now. For years it felt like it was just the centre-left.
@OddieStunt Totally agree. I'm not a Labour voter either, but I feel the members put in the cabinet believe in service. An actual economist as Chancellor is a breath of fresh air.
@BethRigby@jessphillips@RuthDavidsonPC She's genuinely one of the finest examples of a truly great MP. She has dedicated her career to service and helping her community.
