@danpabloLUFC@EnKafasiz@TheLaikYobaz Deserts are categorized as such based on annual precipitation, not the presence of flowing water. Antarctica is the world’s largest desert. Eastern Oregon is also a desert, with dozens of rivers.
@IsraelSpoofX Turkey is a NATO member, Israel (not a NATO member) would be foolish to attack Turkey. Article 5 would require the U.S. and all other NATO countries to respond in accordance with such an attack.
@ItsDomBtw_@dbdrummer2@Milajoy The four Dixiecrats who filibustered were minorities of their own party. As evidenced by the final votes.
It’s pretty silly to make the claim that Republicans were the sole reason the bill was passed - when Republicans were the minority party in both the House and Senate.
@ItsDomBtw_@Milajoy Go for it. I’ll be the first to sign your petition.
I’m not saying it’s right, but it is their right.
Establishing civil rights protections on the basis of political beliefs will backfire asymmetrically on the right wing.
@ItsDomBtw_@Milajoy That’s the law. He’s not being discriminated on the basis of race / gender / ethnicity / religion, etc.
You can still discriminate on the basis of political affiliation.
@ItsDomBtw_@Milajoy The civil rights act protects equal access for public utilities, and established protections against discrimination on the basis of race. Restaurants are not public utilities where water facilities are; and political views are not protected. If you don’t like it, change the law.
@ItsDomBtw_@Milajoy Cool. They’re well within their rights to do so. Still not harassment though, they’re saying he’s unwelcome. Simply go to a restaurant where you’re welcome.
@ItsDomBtw_@Milajoy It’s not harassment, it’s their own company lmao. If you come to my house, and I don’t want to help you because of political reasons - I’m not harassing you; you’re on my property. Same premise applies to a business.
