😊 Our children in The Orchard attended a fun day a few weeks ago where they certainly had fun! They enjoyed a petting farm, fire engines, face painting, a bbq and even got to experience some rides! The children were fantastic and had a great time representing our school. 🦉
On Saturday we came 4th in the WASP’s swimming gala organised by Miss Foster. 🏊♀️ The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school and embraced the event, cheering everyone on. 🏊♂️ Thank you to all the staff, parents and past pupils who helped the event to run so ‘swimmingly’

🐛 Year 1 enjoyed mini-beast hunting and identifying, pond dipping, den building and creating mini-beast art with natural materials in the sunshine. 🦋 Thank you to our staff and parent helpers and the staff at Queen Elizabeth Park for making this day so enjoyable. 🐞
🌳 Year 3 did not let the rain dampen their spirits at Kew Gardens this week. They were great ambassadors for our school and became expert tree identifiers even from the canopy! 🌲 Thank you to all our staff & parent volunteers for helping make this day such a huge success.🌱

What an amazing opportunity for our 550+ children at both The Hermitage infant and junior schools today. We joined the huge national celebration hosted by @HelpPicture marking the 100th birthday of Sur David Attenborough. A national treasure and educator with impact. 🥳
📮 This week in The Orchard the children have been using the story ‘Mouse by the Sea’ to learn about and inspire them to write a postcard. They then walked to the local shops and brought stamps, before posting their postcards! ✉️

Our children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the spring term Brush Party this week. All participants created their own art masterpieces, guided by an instructor. Lots of colour mixing and brush techniques were on show. A bright end to the term. 🎨
This morning we surprised Mrs Noble, making her queen for the day to celebrate her 35 years continued service at The Hermitage Infants and Mr Stevens became king for the day following his 30 years of Caretaking at the infants and juniors A huge thank you to them both. 👑
