Eurogamer being the odd one out (for the 6th time this year) single handedly made Phantom Blade Zero's overall score go from a 91 to 88, simply because they use a 5 star system.
Based on their own words: A 3/5 star review means "a positively leaning review" but the issue is metacritic forces that into a 60/100. It works as a standalone review, but in a shared aggregator like Metacritic, it actively kills the math, and can tank an overall score. And they've done it multiple times this year.
Here's the thing though. Since eurogamer doesn't use half points anymore, their scores on MC jump straight from 60 (3 stars) to 80 (4 stars). A 70 mathematically doesn't exist, and if I'm not mistaken, I've not seen them give a 70 after they switched to the 5 star system.
All this could be avoided if they revert back to a 10 point system like any normal human being.
@GermanStrands If you’re going to do a side by side comparison, at least use matching clips. How can you compare windy waves to calm ones? And then show shooting at trees vs shooting at a ship.

@TheStickz Damn, how is that even possible. The game for me only uses about 30-40% of GPU usage. It's a well optimized game. Well the Remaster that is. Play that, not the OG.
Finally starting Bioshock Infinite!
Been holding off on this for the longest time. Bioshock 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Bioshock 2 was decent, however it's finally time to experience the 3rd.
@DepravedSlasher Normally, a person could see how someone might interpret a joke through text on a screen, but there's LITERALLY nothing in your wording that suggests that.
0/10 joke.
