Our caterpillars have started to form into chrysalis. There is one that is a little slower than the other three. Can you spot which one looks more like a caterpillar still?
As part of our minibeasts topic we are learning about the life cycle of butterflies. We have 4 caterpillars that we are watching closely as they grow and change. It has been amazing to see them grow already in just the first few days!
The Hive students have been developing their collage skills using shape, colour and texture within the context of still life. Their work is now proudly displayed in the corridor π

Mrs Kane has really enjoyed working with pupils from @TheHiveDHS over the last few weeks. They have learned loads of new skills whilst manufacturing a wooden jigsaw puzzle and a wooden hedgehog pencil holder. @official_DHS#determinedhappysuccessful

This week we had Claire from the Scottish SPCA visit, to help us understand more about the animals that live in Scotland. We were on the lookout in our garden for different animals, then we had to figure out what was the best way to help the animals. ππΏπ¦ππ¦’ #ScottishSCPA
Some of our pupils this week were learning about different experiments that use colour mixing. Our favourite one was putting food colouring on milk and adding dish soap to it to watch it spread and mix togetherπ
