RISKS TO WATCH OUT FOR
1. The use of tribalism as a tool of division. “Hiyo kabila wanatumia vijana kutoa mtu wetu.” “Mtu wao alipokua uongozini tulivumilia hadi akamaliza two terms”
2. The use of fear as a tool of demobilizing numbers i.e. random gruesome deaths that shock and traumatize you from taking action.
3. The use of KPLC tokens to see where you live and your house number.
4. The risk of removing bad leaders and replacing them with worse leaders due to ‘cousin excitement’.
5. Being leaderless or lacking organizational capacity is like a bus rolling downhill without brakes. It is good in the short term but disastrous in the long term.
6. Internal division or infighting causing weakness on your side and strength on their side. Avoid phrases like “huyu amelipwa” “she is a mole” “he is a traitor” especially if it is based on propaganda.
Be careful, NIS has a budget of 45 billion on paper but 250 billion in reality. They also have their own bloggers on social media who can cause real division by creating a feeling of disunity and defeat.

Other risks like infiltration by goons can be managed.

THE YOUTH, THE GODFATHERS, THE POLITICAL PARTIES
I will begin with my story. Having been born into a family of politics I have spent over 20 years of my life observing politicians and their manipulative tactics. My first time to attend a political rally was at the age of 7. I read Raila Odinga’s book titled the Enigma at the age of 10. I have been a student leader in primary school, high school and campus with a deep interest in national politics. I joined a political party at the age of 19. I participated in a presidential campaign team at the age of 22. I only stopped watching news when i realized its bringing too much negativity in my life because everyday I watch there is a corruption scandal or an accident where lifeless bodies are hanging outside shattered glass or politicians who are daytime enemies and night time lovers insulting each other for entertainment. All said, I know a thing or two in this politics. This is what i can tell you.🤔

Political parties & godfathers/kingpins are like hawks. Yes, kwa kiswahili tunasema mwewe. They are very observant. Any youth that is given a platform anywhere and proves to be vocal, they snatch like a hawk. They already know the challenges of a youth revolve around lack of decent employement and opportunities. They provide a stipend, some cash to keep you interested. They then use the vocal youth as a briefcase carrier, a blogger deployed to fight political wars, an organizer for violence, a quick rigging hand, a smart brain for planning and a mouthpiece whenever they want to insult each other indirectly. They also use the youth in their shadow to register companies and do business with government. Mostly the business of theft of public funds. The young upcoming leader who has now been taught bad manners might be lucky to get a ticket and be an MP or be nominated. For ladies, its worse, they are used as a merrygoround sex slave. If she refuses, they dump her and stop picking calls. That is what they do to vocal ladies who want to be leaders. I know someone is reading this and I have spoken their pain, Makofi tafadhali. 😀thank you.

Most vocal youth are captured into mainstream political parties. Because they need a platform. Registering a new party to the end of the process costs about 7 million. How many youths have that kind of money? Sustaining a political image with a few media and public appearances also requires resources to a large extent. Therefore its hard for youth to have anything of their own without money. Neither can the vocal youth challenge the kingpins of their tribe. Its like jumping from a plane without a parachute. These youth you are seeing on TV defending the old guard are doing it for show, in their heart they wish it was different. I have a solution. We can unite and consolidate our energy to work for us like the money we didnt have. But such unity is not easy because of individual interests, tribal kingpins’ influence and jealousy.

Its a sad situation. That is why we needed our own party. A home where we can run and be safe.

I am one of the very few youths in Kenya who can afford to do something without the patronage of a political party or a godfather. I managed to escape that prison. To this day people dont believe i escaped. Its a maximum security prison. That is why you will hear them calling me names like “project” Its unbelievable to them that there is a youth who can manage to drag this elephant on his own without the help of a bigger force with more resource. Probably they should go and watch my 2 hour interview with Lynn Ngugi on how I got here.

That is why I told you not to judge me when I meet up with youths who belong to or sing praises of old guard political parties. We are crafting a generational conspiracy which will be fought from the inside and outside. We need someone in the room when the elephant falls so that it doesnt get buried with its tusks. I cannot ask them to leave their parties if I havent built a new home for them.

Listen kenyan youths, you are different. You are exposed and self-aware. You dont value tribalism above good governance. Fortunately, you are the majority voters. Unite and change this country in a ballot revolution. You are the last hope.

William Ruto has caused pain in every conceivable way. But if you support a hyena just because you want to remove Ruto, the baby mama will cry louder than the baby. Seek better leadership and you will find it. Mambo ya lesser devil ni upuzi na ujinga.

But we do not support the call to replace Ruto with corrupt individuals who have no alternative vision or have been in leadership for years without any change.
